Overview
The Handler management system was developed to provided the end user with a sophisticated system not only to manage their financial records but to enhance their competitive advantage as a professional handler. Handling In Windows operates in a familiar Windows-based environment with the ability for flexible and powerful query searches which makes it very USER FRIENDLY. The system is set up for logical, visual steps which can be performed by simple "point and click" procedures with a mouse.

The unique feature of the Handling In Windows(c) system is the "One Time Entry". File Maintenance is designed to store all information that will be retrieved throughout the program. The information is entered once and can be used multiple times throughout the program with out re-entering data. The more information that you have entered in File Maintenance the easier it is to enter the pet detail, print entries, prepare the judging schedule, prepare the monthly show schedule, generate the invoice, and print reports.

Pet Interactive Database command button provides for full screen viewing of all Pets (use the Maximize and then Resize Screen via drag/ expand). A total number of Pets is given. A new report gives a listing of all pets in the database is provided via Print button. To select a specific dog, double click on the entry. The next item to explore is the Sort Buttons that provide powerful grouping of the dogs by Sire, Dam, Owner, AKC # or Registered Name.

Retrieving a specific dog’s record no longer involves remembering a specific alpha/numeric code and typing it in according to specific regulations. The Record Retrieval is as simple as selecting one of the 3 options, which can be retrieved by:

* Call Name *  * Owner *  * Registered Name *

Owner Interactive Database command button provides for full screen viewing / print of all Owners.
 
Show Information Management

For each individual show dog detail in the system there is a show detail screen. The Show detail screen allows the user to enter very specific details about the show, view all other show details and enter points awarded. The Show detail screen will automatically calculate the cumulative points to date. Also the user can select the Show History section where summarized show information can be viewed and printed.

The Show Interactive Database is included under the Show Menu item. All Show Entries are listed with Sorts for Show, Class Judge and Specialty Judge.

Show Calendar 

Once the show information and entry forms have been entered the Show Calendar report can be retrieved to view the upcoming show schedule. The Show Calendar report will list the upcoming shows complete with the show information and entry fees.

Vaccination Tracking

When handling, transporting and boarding multiple dogs it is very important to have updated vaccination information for each dog. The system allows the user to store various vaccination shot types in the File Maintenance section (one-time entry). Also from the individual dog detail screen there is a vaccination section that enables the user to select the appropriate vaccination types and enter the vaccination date. If any vaccination dates entered are over one year there will be a flag letting the user know that the vaccination is overdue.

Image Identification

For every show dog record in the program there is a Image section for storing images of the dog. This section allows for storing multiple images for each dog entered.

Accommodations Management

Since organizing a well planned show trip is very important, the Handling In Windows program contains an Accommodations management section. This section allows the user to enter the show name and the details about the hotel accommodations. Also on this screen the user can store a scanned image of a check or conformation itinerary details. The Accommodations section stores multiple accommodation records and also prints the entire information along with the scanned image.

Billing 

The purpose of the Billing section is to enter all financial records, record specific owner/dog transactions and display and print invoices. The billing section contains three major sub menus. The invoice section allows the user to enter specific charge items and payment credits for each individual show dog. The invoice report screen can display information for a specific owner/dog according to a specified date range from the user entered From and To dates for the invoice. Other items that are displayed and printed on the Invoice include: Discount, Previous Balance, Balance due, and Total balance at the bottom of the invoice.

Entry Schedule

The entry schedule is designed to retrieve the show name ( entered in file maintenance) and then retrieving the show dog’s registered name. The user can select any number of show dogs. The entry schedule has a view option for viewing all entries before printing. Once an Entry Form is printed for a show dog the client/dog’s record will automatically be charged for the Entry fee.

Judging Schedule

The judging schedule has been designed to follow the same format of a Judging Program. After the user selects the show name the list of dogs that have been entered will appear on the list. The judging schedule includes the following: Time, Ring number, Breakdown, Comments, Call name, Owner and Placement. The judging schedule will calculate the number of dogs in front by 2 minutes a dog. For example, 30 dogs in front at 10:00 the program will change the show time to 11:00.

Handler Contract and Price List

Typically in every Handler’s business a contract and the price list is often given to new clients. The Handling Contract has been designed to print in the pet detail section. The contract prints out the information according to the information that is on the pet detail screen. This option will help reduce the time of filling it out and the contract will be correct while adding professional flair. The price list will print the Charge Items that the user has listed in the Financial section.

Employee Information

The employee section stores a complete record of all employees for the Handler. Such fields of information are: Salary, hours worked, address, emergency phone, and total pay. The Employee Report is found under the Reports menu.
